Kachiguda Police Prevent Railway Track Tragedy, Rescue 24-Year-Old

Hyderabad: A potential tragedy was averted in the early hours of May 26 when Kachiguda police responded swiftly to prevent a suicide attempt on the railway tracks adjacent to Kachiguda Railway Station.
The individual in distress was identified as Niranjan, 24 years old, originally from Tadipatri in Anantapur district. His father, V. Nagaraju, contacted police after becoming aware of his son's attempt to end his life at the station.
Upon receiving the alert, Station House Officer S. Rajashekhar issued immediate instructions for officers to proceed to the location. Section In-charge Head Constable D. Yugandhar, along with Blue Colt personnel V. Chandra Peddiraju and S. Bala Mallesh, rushed to Kachiguda Railway Station without delay.
The rescue team discovered Niranjan positioned on the railway tracks near Platform No. 5. Working in coordination with Government Railway Police personnel, the officers safely extracted him from the tracks and moved him to safety.
Following the successful rescue, Niranjan was transferred to Government Railway Police custody, where he received counselling and underwent the necessary procedural steps. Station House Officer S. Rajashekhar commended the Blue Colt team for their rapid response and their role in preserving the young man's life.
