New Delhi — Smarten Power Systems, which provides power backup and solar energy solutions to residential and commercial customers across India, has elevated Ranjit Singh to the position of Chief Operating Officer. The appointment takes effect on August 1, 2026, following Board approval on July 14, 2026.

Singh transitions from his role as Consultant – Vice President, Operations, where he has been instrumental in optimizing operational workflows, improving manufacturing efficiency, and driving key company initiatives. In his expanded capacity, he will oversee the full spectrum of operational activities, including manufacturing operations, supply chain management, quality assurance frameworks, and strategic implementation while supporting Smarten's growth trajectory in domestic and overseas markets.

A significant portion of Singh's recent work involved managing Smarten's battery manufacturing transition at its Baddi facility in Himachal Pradesh—a facility the company established following its public listing. He successfully orchestrated the complete operational handover, establishing the necessary processes, systems, and personnel for consistent in-house production. With this transition now complete, he is positioned to guide operations across Smarten's current manufacturing infrastructure and oversee the launch of the company's planned new manufacturing facility.

The appointment arrives as Smarten navigates an important growth phase, reinforcing its manufacturing infrastructure and broadening its solution offerings. Rising demand for dependable power backup systems and clean energy alternatives has prompted the company to establish a solid operational framework that enables sustainable growth, accelerated project delivery, and improved customer outcomes.

Rajnish Sharma, Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer, remarked on the appointment: "As we advance into our next growth phase, bolstering our executive ranks is vital for scaling operations and generating sustained value. Ranjit possesses substantial operational knowledge, proven manufacturing leadership, and a demonstrated ability to build effective operational teams. His familiarity with our operations from his previous role positions him well to guide our continued operational advancement and realize our strategic objectives."

Singh commented on his new appointment: "I am privileged to accept this role during such a pivotal moment for Smarten. The organization has established a solid foundation and is prepared for accelerated expansion. My priorities include advancing manufacturing capabilities, optimizing operational efficiency, elevating quality standards, strengthening supply chain resilience, and embedding a commitment to ongoing enhancement. I am eager to collaborate with our leadership to establish scalable operations that foster innovation, generate greater customer benefits, and advance Smarten's long-term mission."

Singh brings over 52 years of professional experience in manufacturing, engineering, product innovation, and operational leadership within the power electronics, telecom infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors. His career has included senior positions at organizations including Vrinda Nano Technologies, Agmetal India, Delta Power Solutions India, Ascom (India), Benning SMC Power Systems, Bhurji Electronics, JCT Electronics, UPTRON Powertronics, USHA Rectifier Corporation India, and Eastern Electronics.

The appointment reflects Smarten's ongoing commitment to building a forward-thinking leadership structure positioned to address the changing demands of India's power backup and renewable energy landscape.
