HealZen Introduces OncoHope™, a Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Cancer Support Initiative

A prominent healthcare initiative took shape in July 2026 as HealZen formally introduced OncoHope™, a comprehensive program aimed at filling critical voids in supportive cancer care. The unveiling occurred during a scientific briefing and virtual event held in Mumbai and Pune, bringing together leading oncologists, hematologists, hospital administrators, and clinical researchers to examine how structured supportive interventions can enhance cancer treatment pathways.
The gathering focused on a central theme: "Addressing the Unmet Need in Supportive Cancer Care Through Research, Collaboration and Patient-Centred Innovation." Speakers highlighted the substantial burden of cancer-related symptoms and the absence of coordinated supportive care frameworks within standard oncology treatment models.
Presentations at the event emphasized the necessity for comprehensive, evidence-based approaches that combine metabolic restoration, management of therapy-induced cytopenia, secondary inflammation control, liver health through PRO Therapeutic Protocol involving natural bioactive compounds, nutritional support, mental health services, patient education, and continuous outcome monitoring.
Central to the scientific discussion was evidence from the TGH OCC clinical trial, which provided data on study design, patient demographics, clinical observations, patient-reported outcomes, and safety metrics. This research foundation underpins the therapeutic interventions embedded within OncoHope™.
The program addresses identified care gaps through functional nutrition guidance, psychological support services, therapeutic nutraceuticals when clinically warranted, structured educational initiatives, patient-reported outcome tracking, and established referral pathways that integrate with conventional oncology treatment.
Dr. Deepak Patkar, Medical Director of Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital in Mumbai, officially launched the OncoHope™ web platform. The digital interface provides access to program services, referral mechanisms, patient registration, educational materials, research information, and collaboration channels, functioning as a centralized portal for patients and healthcare providers seeking structured oncology support.
The event featured panel discussions among medical experts exploring how supportive oncology can be integrated into routine clinical settings, the practical application of the OncoHope™ framework, pathways for research collaboration, multidisciplinary care coordination, and prospects for future multicentric investigations and academic partnerships.
Among the distinguished participants were Rajendra Patankar, CEO of Jupiter Hospital in Pune; Dnyaneshwar Upase, a hematologist at TGH OCC; Gaurav Jaswal, a radiation oncologist at TGH OCC; Sonal Kathole, clinical dietician at SDC Nasik; and Navnath Bhagavat, general physician at Krushnai Hospital. Additional medical professionals from the local healthcare network and representatives from various sectors attended the launch.
The initiative emerged from collaborative efforts by Dr. Apurva Ahirrao, Co-Founder and Managing Director of HealZen; Dr. Prakash Kalke, CEO of HealZen; and Ms. Avanti Pawar, Chief Medical Officer of HealZen, along with oncology dieticians and counselors from the organization's specialized departments.
OncoHope™ represents HealZen's commitment to delivering integrative oncology solutions that enhance quality of life and promote value-based care during cancer treatment. Built on clinical research findings including the OCC trial outcomes, the program seeks to establish networks of healthcare professionals dedicated to multidisciplinary supportive cancer care while fostering collaboration with hospitals and oncology teams across India's healthcare landscape.
