SHARP Unveils Advanced A3 Multifunctional Printer Series for Modern Indian Workplaces

SHARP Business Systems (India) Pvt Ltd has rolled out a new generation of digital multifunctional printers, marking a significant expansion of its office equipment portfolio. The launch encompasses the BP-71C, BP-51C, BP-71M, and BP-51M series, available in both colour and monochrome configurations across the Indian market.

The Advanced Series includes the BP-71C65/C45 for colour and BP-71M55/M65 for monochrome operations, while the Essential Series comprises the BP-51C55/C45/C36/C31T/C26T in colour and BP-51M45T/65T in monochrome. Processing speeds range from 26 to 65 pages per minute across both colour and black-and-white modes, with support for media sizes up to SRA3 format.

These multifunctional devices integrate artificial intelligence to streamline document workflows and facilitate seamless team collaboration. The machines combine intuitive interfaces with rapid scanning, copying, and printing capabilities, positioning themselves as solutions for organisations seeking to enhance productivity while maintaining operational flexibility.

The target markets for these devices span multiple sectors, including educational institutions, engineering and design consultancies, healthcare facilities, hospitality businesses, publishing houses, large-scale corporations, manufacturing plants, and financial services organisations.

The intelligent Auto Set Scan function represents a key productivity enhancement, automatically calibrating resolution, orientation, and image quality parameters to optimise scanning results. The BP-71 series demonstrates class-leading performance with its 300-sheet Duplex Single Pass Feeder, processing up to 300 images per minute. The BP-51 series utilises a 100-sheet Reversing Single Pass Feeder, delivering 80 images per minute.

Security infrastructure incorporates multiple protective layers, including BIOS and firmware integrity verification systems that identify and respond to anomalies. An optional Bitdefender scan engine provides additional virus detection capabilities. The devices support Microsoft Entra ID for token-based authentication alongside data encryption, erasure functions, whitelisting protocols, and automated firmware updates. Built-in data removal features activate at lease conclusion to prevent information compromise.

Environmental responsibility shapes the device design philosophy. Manufacturing utilises up to 50% recycled plastic, reducing production-stage environmental footprint. Packaging transitions from polystyrene to recyclable cardboard alternatives. Power consumption reaches just 0.3 watts during standby, meeting ENERGY STAR certification standards with low Typical Electricity Consumption values. The BP-71 variants incorporate motion sensors that activate the device upon user approach, optimising energy efficiency without sacrificing operational readiness.

These multifunctional printers will become available through SHARP subsidiaries and authorised distribution networks throughout India.
