Telangana to Complete ₹9,000 Crore Rythu Bharosa Payout with Final Friday Instalment

Telangana's government will wrap up its current seasonal Rythu Bharosa disbursement cycle on Friday when Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy releases the final ₹1,009 crore instalment, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced. The funds will be transferred directly into farmers' bank accounts, marking the completion of ₹9,000 crore in seasonal assistance.

Vikramarka made the announcement following his inspection of arrangements for the Rythu Ashirvada Sabha at Jagannadhapuram–Mathkepalli Cross Road in Chinthakani mandal. He subsequently addressed journalists at the Lachagudem Rythu Vedika.

The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted that the state disbursed ₹8,759 crore within nine days under the scheme, describing it as a record pace. The Friday transfer will mark the completion of the current season's direct benefit transfers to farmers.

The programme will be held with the Chief Minister and Cabinet ministers in attendance. Vikramarka emphasised that strengthening agriculture through timely financial support to farming communities across the state remained a key government objective.

Comparing Government Spending

Drawing a comparison with the previous administration, Vikramarka noted that the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi government spent ₹72,000 crore under Rythu Bharosa across its decade in power. The Congress government, he stated, has disbursed ₹35,839 crore through the scheme during its first two-and-a-half years.

Beyond Rythu Bharosa, Vikramarka pointed to broader farmer welfare expenditure totalling ₹1,67,877 crore during the same period. This encompasses farm loan forgiveness, seasonal bonuses, crop protection insurance, compensation for crop damage, electricity subsidies for agricultural use, mechanisation support, Atmiya Bharosa and Indiramma initiatives, irrigation infrastructure, and related programmes.
