PhonePe Introduces Integrated Tax Compliance Suite for Indian Users

PhonePe has rolled out a new tax compliance feature designed to streamline Income Tax Return (ITR) filing and Goods and Services Tax (GST) management for its user base spanning salaried employees, freelancers, and small business operators.

The fintech platform has developed this offering in collaboration with TaxBuddy, a prominent digital tax compliance provider operating across India. The integrated solution provides multiple service tiers: self-filing services beginning at ₹24, professionally-guided options for intricate tax situations, and regular GST compliance filing tailored for small-scale retailers.

By incorporating these tools directly into the PhonePe application, users can complete their entire tax filing process without switching between multiple platforms. The feature includes access to specialist guidance for ITR optimization and continuous GST administration, all available within the app's existing financial services ecosystem.

To utilize the new functionality, users should navigate to the 'Recharge & Pay Bills' section within the PhonePe application. From there, they can locate 'File ITR' under the 'Utilities and Others' category. Users can then choose between self-filing, expert-assisted filing, or monthly GST filing options based on their specific requirements.
