The filmmakers behind the animated feature Mahaprabhu Jagannath recently sought the blessings of prominent yoga guru Baba Ramdev before the film's theatrical launch, marking a significant spiritual milestone for the project.

Baba Ramdev offered strong support for the film, expressing his perspective on its cultural significance. "Mahaprabhu Jagannath is the lord of our life. He is the very life force of our Sanatan. His life, divine pastimes, character, messages, teachings, the devotion toward Him, and the reverence for Him these constitute the very consecration of our culture. To be connected with Him is the ultimate fortune of life," the yoga guru stated.

He further commended the production team's approach to the material. "And the way this movie has been made, keeping children in mind to instill the values of our culture within them, I offer my heartiest congratulations to the whole team for bringing this movie. Do make sure your children watch it and connect with our religion and culture. Back to our basics, back to our culture. Jai Jagannath," Ramdev added.

The film represents a major expansion for Ele Animations Pvt. Ltd., which previously achieved success with the animated television series Jay Jagannath. Positioned as a family-oriented production that combines sophisticated animation with cultural storytelling, Mahaprabhu Jagannath will reach audiences through a partnership with Cinepolis.

The theatrical release will span more than 300 screens across India, with versions available in Hindi, Odia, and Telugu. The film will also release internationally in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

The creative team includes producer Durga Prasad Dalai, director Shripad Warkhedkar, screenplay and dialogue writer Pallavi Sharma, and music composer Aviral Kumar. Ele Animations, headquartered in Bhubaneswar, has been producing content for global markets since its establishment in 2008.

The film arrives on July 17, 2026, one day following the Jagannath Rath Yatra festival on July 16. The project's momentum has been bolstered by a high-profile trailer presentation attended by Indresh Upadhyaya and approximately 10,000 devotees.
