BRS Working President Visits Family of Telangana Movement Martyr Kishtayya in Karimnagar

K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi, travelled to Karimnagar to meet the family of late constable Kishtayya, a martyr of the Telangana movement. During the visit, he paid tribute to the fallen officer and delivered an education assistance cheque for his daughter Dr Priyanka, which had been announced by BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao.

The BRS leader spent time with Kishtayya's widow Padmavathi, his son Rahul, daughter-in-law Varsha, and daughter Dr Priyanka. He spoke with them about their current circumstances and reflected on the late constable's role and sacrifice during the struggle for Telangana's statehood.

Among the notable moments during the visit was Rama Rao's blessing of Kishtayya's newborn grandson, baby Vedanth Raghav Kishtayya. He gifted the family clothing, presents, and a distinctive pendant engraved with the letter "K" as a memento honouring the departed officer.

The financial assistance cheque handed to Dr Priyanka was intended to support her postgraduate studies in medicine. Rama Rao conveyed to the family that the BRS party remained committed to providing them support in the coming years.

The family expressed gratitude for the visit, the blessings extended to the newborn, the emotional backing provided, and the educational funding for Dr Priyanka, according to the party.

Former minister Gangula Kamalakar, MLAs Kaushik Reddy and Dr Sanjay Kalvakuntla, BRS General Secretary Jeevan Reddy, and several other party functionaries participated in the event.
