BRS Leader Vaddiraju Ravichandra Takes Over as Rajya Sabha Floor Leader

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi has announced a leadership change in its parliamentary wing, with Vaddiraju Ravichandra assuming the role of Parliamentary Party leader and floor leader in the Rajya Sabha. The appointment was made by BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday.
Ravichandra takes over the position following the conclusion of K.R. Suresh Reddy's tenure as a Rajya Sabha member. The new floor leader previously held the position of deputy floor leader in the Upper House.
The appointment marks a significant moment in Ravichandra's legislative career, as he currently serves his second term as a Rajya Sabha member, a position he will hold until April 2030. The BRS leadership noted his track record of advocacy for Backward Classes communities and his contributions to the party's work.
Beyond his floor leader responsibilities, Ravichandra serves on the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas. He is also a member of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Coal and Mines.
Expressing gratitude for the new responsibility, Ravichandra acknowledged K. Chandrashekhar Rao and working president K.T. Rama Rao for the opportunity. He committed to championing Telangana's interests in Parliament and pledged to work towards strengthening the party's position.
