HealZen Unveils OncoHope™ Platform to Fill Gaps in Supportive Cancer Care

A gathering of senior oncologists, hematologists, hospital leaders and clinical researchers convened in Mumbai and Pune on 16 July, 2026, to witness the introduction of OncoHope™, HealZen's new structured supportive cancer care initiative. The scientific briefing and virtual launch event centred on the theme "Addressing the Unmet Need in Supportive Cancer Care Through Research, Collaboration and Patient-Centred Innovation."
The programme addresses significant shortcomings in how cancer patients receive supportive care alongside their primary oncology treatment. Speakers highlighted the growing burden of cancer-related symptom distress and the absence of coordinated, evidence-based interventions in routine clinical practice. The OncoHope™ model integrates metabolic restoration, management of therapy-induced cytopenia, secondary inflammation control, liver health support through PRO Therapeutic Protocol (involving oral consumption of natural bioactive compounds), specialised nutrition, psychosocial support, patient education and continuous outcome monitoring.
Clinical evidence formed a cornerstone of the presentation. Findings from the TGH OCC clinical trial were presented, encompassing study design, patient demographics, clinical observations, patient-reported outcomes and safety data. This research provides the foundation for the supportive interventions embedded within the OncoHope™ framework.
Dr. Deepak Patkar, Medical Director of Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital in Mumbai, unveiled the OncoHope™ web platform. The digital interface provides access to functional nutrition support, psychological counselling, therapeutic nutraceuticals where clinically indicated, structured patient education, patient-reported outcome monitoring and a coordinated referral pathway that operates alongside conventional oncology treatment. The platform serves as a centralised entry point for both patients and healthcare professionals seeking structured supportive oncology services.
The launch proceeded with a panel discussion among medical experts exploring how to strengthen supportive oncology in everyday clinical settings, the practical applicability of the OncoHope™ approach, possibilities for research partnerships and evidence generation, mechanisms for referrals and multidisciplinary coordination, and potential for future multicentric research initiatives and academic collaborations.
The event drew participation from prominent medical professionals including Rajendra Patankar, CEO of Jupiter Hospital in Pune; Dnyaneshwar Upase, a hematologist at TGH OCC; Gaurav Jaswal, radiation oncologist at TGH OCC; Sonal Kathole, clinical dietician at SDC Nasik; and Navnath Bhagavat, general physician at Krushnai Hospital. Local clinicians and representatives from various backgrounds also attended to support the initiative.
The launch achieved multiple objectives, including broader recognition of gaps in supportive cancer care among oncology specialists, presentation of clinical trial evidence validating the supportive interventions, formal introduction of OncoHope™ as a structured response to identified care deficiencies, unveiling of the web platform, gathering of expert input for programme refinement, identification of collaborative research opportunities and establishment of a network of clinicians committed to multidisciplinary supportive cancer care.
OncoHope™ represents HealZen's commitment to delivering integrative oncology solutions that enhance quality of life and promote value-based care during cancer treatment. Grounded in clinical research including the OCC trial, the programme seeks to bridge significant gaps in patient-centred cancer care through partnerships with hospitals, oncologists and multidisciplinary care teams. The programme was developed by Dr. Apurva Ahirrao, Co-Founder and Managing Director of HealZen; Dr. Prakash Kalke, CEO of HealZen; and Ms. Avanti Pawar, Chief Medical Officer of HealZen, working alongside onco-dieticians and onco-counsellors from HealZen's teams.
