Telangana Governor Calls on Engineering Graduates to Build Enterprises, Not Just Seek Employment

Hyderabad — Addressing the graduating class at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) in Gandipet on Wednesday, Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla delivered a call for engineering graduates to transform into entrepreneurs and enterprise builders rather than remain job seekers. He underscored that the nation's advancement hinges on the ingenuity, visionary thinking and entrepreneurial zeal that young professionals bring to the table.

Speaking at the institution's sixth Graduation Day ceremony, the Governor reframed the significance of graduation itself. He characterized it not as the culmination of formal education but as the starting point of an enduring commitment to nation-building and societal contribution.

Shukla set forth an ambitious framework for the graduates, urging them to align their efforts with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. He called upon them to leverage their technical expertise to create employment opportunities and devise workable solutions to address real-world challenges facing society.

The Governor highlighted Hyderabad's standing as a premier destination within India's innovation landscape. He cited the city's robust ecosystem encompassing technology, startups, aerospace and biopharmaceutical sectors, positioning it as an ideal launchpad for young professionals to establish thriving careers and ventures.

Beyond economic aspirations, Shukla emphasized the centrality of ethical conduct and integrity to professional achievement. He counselled the graduates to remain steadfast in upholding discipline, maintaining rigorous ethical standards and committing themselves to continuous learning throughout their careers.

The Governor also sounded a note of caution regarding substance abuse. He appealed to students to champion the Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative by adopting healthy and responsible practices, stressing that strong moral foundations must underpin professional success.

Concluding his address, Shukla extended congratulations to the Class of 2026 for successfully completing their academic programmes. He expressed optimism that their future accomplishments would reflect positively on their families, the institute, Telangana and India as a whole.
