Charminar Police Return 30 Recovered Mobile Phones to Owners

Hyderabad: In a significant recovery operation, the Charminar Police Station successfully traced and restored 30 misplaced and pilfered mobile phones to their owners on Saturday. The phones were handed over during a ceremony at the Charminar Police Station by Assistant Commissioner of Police P. Chandra Shekar.

The retrieval effort leveraged the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal combined with sophisticated technical investigation methods. The operation was spearheaded by the Detective Team at Charminar Police Station under the leadership of DSI G. Sateesh Reddy, working in coordination with the Crime Team. Inspector T. Ram Babu and Detective Inspector K. Narsing Rathod oversaw the entire initiative.

Police officials have urged residents to promptly file complaints at their local police station or register cases through the CEIR portal whenever they experience loss or theft of mobile devices. Timely notification substantially enhances the likelihood of successful recovery through technical investigation methods, according to the force.

The Charminar Police have also encouraged the public to register their lost devices on the CEIR platform, which enables authorities to block, locate, and retrieve phones more effectively. The portal serves as a crucial tool in combating mobile phone theft and assisting citizens in recovering their lost devices.
