Grandmother of BJP Leader Rupesh Pandey Passes Away in Varanasi

The death of Gopi Devi, grandmother of BJP youth leader and social activist Rupesh Pandey, has cast a shadow of sorrow across Varanasi. The 81-year-old passed away on Wednesday at a private hospital in the city after suffering a sudden brain hemorrhage. Despite doctors' best efforts during treatment, she succumbed to the condition.

Word of Gopi Devi's death spread quickly through the locality, touching the hearts of residents who have long known Pandey for his community service and dedication to public welfare. The entire household has been enveloped in grief following the loss.

Funeral rites took place on Friday at 80 Ghat, situated near the renowned Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi. The ceremony was conducted according to complete Vedic traditions, with family members, well-wishers, local residents, BJP office-bearers, party workers, and social activists present. As chants of "Ram Naam Satya Hai" echoed through the area, the community bid a tearful farewell to the departed.

Senior BJP leaders and party workers visited Pandey's residence to offer condolences and provide support to the grieving family. Mourners offered prayers for the peace of the deceased's soul and for the family's strength in bearing this irreplaceable loss.

Gopi Devi was widely recognized in the region for her gentle nature, warm demeanor, and devout faith. Known for her readiness to assist those in need, she had earned the affection of many. Her passing represents not only a profound loss for the family but also for the broader community, which has lost a caring elder.
