Realme has unveiled its latest lineup of consumer electronics in Chennai, introducing the realme 16T 5G smartphone alongside two complementary wearables—the realme Buds Air8 Pro and realme Watch S5. The company positioned these products as a cohesive ecosystem designed for young users seeking integrated experiences and social-first functionality.

The realme 16T 5G: Battery-Focused Flagship

The standout offering is the realme 16T 5G, marketed as an "8000mAh 3-Day Powerhouse." The device prioritizes extended battery life, featuring a segment-leading 8000mAh battery engineered to sustain heavy usage across gaming, streaming, social media, and daily commuting without frequent charging. The company introduced what it describes as the segment's first 7-year battery health solution, combining intelligent charging optimization with advanced protection mechanisms to maintain battery longevity.

The charging ecosystem includes 45W fast charging capability, 15W reverse charging, all-scenario bypass charging, advanced temperature management, and overcharge protection. These features aim to minimize heat generation during gaming and ensure stable long-term performance.

Photography capabilities center on a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor with F1.8 aperture and autofocus support. The camera system leverages the LumaColor Imaging Engine to enhance skin texture, tone, and facial composition through AI-driven processing. A feature called AI Portrait Glow intelligently optimizes facial lighting in challenging conditions—night scenes, restaurants, concerts, and backlit environments. The device introduces what realme claims is the segment's first rear Selfie Mirror, allowing users to preview framing and expressions when using the main rear camera for selfies.

Creative tools include AI Popout Collage, AI StyleMe, and AI Instant Clip for generating stylized portraits and short-form videos.

The realme 16T 5G runs realme UI 7.0 powered by a flux engine designed to maintain system responsiveness over time. Higher configurations include 8GB + 128GB at INR 28,999 and 8GB + 256GB at INR 31,999. Pre-orders begin May 22 at 12 PM through May 26, with the first sale running May 27 through June 2. realme Watch S5: Fitness-Focused Wearable

The realme Watch S5 smartwatch emphasizes fitness tracking and connectivity with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display delivering 1500 nits peak brightness. It features independent GPS and support for five global satellite navigation systems, catering to fitness enthusiasts and active lifestyles.

Health monitoring capabilities include heart rate, SpO2, sleep, stress, and noise tracking. The watch supports over 110 sports modes, Bluetooth calling, customizable watch faces, and 5ATM water resistance. Battery life extends to 20 days on a single charge.

The Watch S5 is available in Sand White and Rock Grey, priced at INR 7,499. The first sale occurs June 5 at 12 PM through June 7, with a INR 500 discount available. The device will be sold through Flipkart, realme.com, and mainline stores.
