Kingfisher Good Times Hangout Makes Comeback for IPL Playoffs on JioHotstar

Kingfisher Premium Packaged Drinking Water has rekindled its partnership with JioStar to launch a specially curated commentary experience for the TATA Indian Premier League Playoffs, running from 26 May through the final on 31 May on JioHotstar. The initiative brings together former cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina alongside comedians Angad Singh Ranyal, Danish Sait, and Gurleen Pannu, with presenters Aanchal Agarwal and RJ Mantra, delivering what the brand describes as an innovative alternate broadcast feed.
The Kingfisher Good Times Hangout made its debut during the TATA Women's Premier League earlier this year and has now been expanded for the men's league playoffs with an enhanced roster of personalities. The dedicated audio feed will be accessible through the Audio & Subtitles menu on JioHotstar during live matches, commencing at 6:30 PM each evening.
The experience merges live cricket analysis with comedy, pop-culture discussion, and casual conversation designed to replicate the atmosphere of watching matches with friends. According to Vikram Bahl, Chief Marketing Officer at United Breweries Limited, the initiative stems from recognizing that cricket viewership in India extends beyond sport itself. "Cricket in India is never just about the sport. It's about the moments you share while watching it," Bahl stated, adding that the programming aims to deliver entertainment as compelling as the tournament action itself.
Anup Govindan, Head of Sales for Sports at JioStar, emphasized the strategic value of the offering during the playoffs—the season's most-watched period. "At JioStar, we are committed to building an ecosystem where brands go beyond visibility and create experiences that fans genuinely value," he noted, describing the feed as a differentiated approach that appeals particularly to younger audiences seeking authentic entertainment alongside sports content.
The commentary feed combines real-time match insights with humor and spontaneous banter, positioning itself as a genre-blending approach to live cricket consumption. The offering reinforces Kingfisher Packaged Drinking Water's positioning around social occasions and shared experiences.
