Dipika Chikhlia Inaugurates Bhojpuri Web Series 'Mahashamshan'; Production to Begin End of May

Veteran actress Dipika Chikhlia inaugurated the Bhojpuri web series 'Mahashamshan' in Mumbai on May 24, bringing together creators, actors, and platform representatives for the ceremonial launch.

Present at the event were producer and writer Dheeraj Mishra, co-producer Ishika Mishra, director Raja Randeep Giri, and cast members including Kunal Singh Rajput, Golu Tiwari, Prashant Rai, Pari, Gaurav Upadhyay, and Jisan Khan. Line producer Mahesh Upadhyay and promoter Sanjay Bhushan Patiala also attended the occasion.

Chikhlia expressed her optimism about the project, noting that the title itself inspires confidence in the series' quality. She praised the platform's commitment to regional language content, highlighting the growing strength of work being produced in regional cinema.

Dheeraj Mishra, the producer, acknowledged Chikhlia's participation, stating, "We are grateful that Dipika Chikhlia Ji inaugurated our web series. This is an important milestone for us, and we are hopeful that audiences will embrace the series."

Co-producer Ishika Mishra emphasized the team's dedication, saying, "We have invested considerable effort into this series and are confident it will captivate viewers."

Director Raja Randeep Giri described the project as a distinctive narrative designed to provoke thought among audiences. He confirmed that production would commence at the end of May, with plans for a timely release thereafter.

'Mahashamshan' is a Bhojpuri web series that explores multiple facets of human existence. The production features Kunal Singh Rajput, Golu Tiwari, Prashant Rai, Pari Singh, Gaurav Upadhyay, Shivam Singh, Vivek Tripathi, and Jisan Khan in key roles.

Amar Dubey and Dharmendra Singh, representing Stage OTT platform, were present at the launch. Dubey stated that Stage collaborates with diverse talent and creators, positioning the platform as a catalyst for transformation in the entertainment industry. Singh extended his best wishes to the production team, highlighting the platform's commitment to bringing distinctive storytelling to audiences through its offerings.
